Transport | DART extensions in Co Kildare

To ask the Minister for Transport the progress to date towards the extension of DART services to Maynooth, County Kildare and further afield in north County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Since the PQ was raised significant progress has been made and a Railway Order for the DART+ West project serving Maynooth was submitted to An Bord Pleanála on 29th July 2022. A period of consultation is continuing until Friday 28th October 2022 and all members of the public can make a submission on the Railway Order application. Until such time as the Railway Order for the DART+ West project is decided further extension of DART services beyond Maynooth are not being considered.
