Housing, Local Government and Heritage | Update on the total funding amount provided to Kildare County Council to fund the building of new houses

To ask the Minister for Housing; Local Government and Heritage the total funding provided to Kildare County Council by way of direct grant to fund the building of new houses for suitably qualified applicants in each of the past five years to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Social housing construction is funded through a range of delivery streams such as local authority direct construction, Part V, turnkey developments, regeneration programmes and through direct construction and turnkey developments delivered by Approved Housing Bodies.
The funding provided by my Department to Kildare County Council in respect of social housing construction programmes in each of the years 2018 to 2021 is set out in the table below.  The funding details for 2022 by local authority level are currently being finalised within my Department.
